Event Name: Monarch Winds Concert Event State: Confirmed Organization: Music Department Event Locator: 2024-AASPQZ Monarch Winds is an in-resident woodwind quintet at Lewis University, named in honor of the Illinois state butterfly and to highlight flight, an important aspect of the university's history. Since 2011, they have provided woodwind quintet programs at Lewis University in Romeoville, St. John's the Evangelist Episopal Church in Lockport and other social venues in Will and DuPage counties. Monarch Winds features Laurel Tempas on flute, Robert Gordon on oboe, Mary Payne on clarinet, Amanda Karwoske on french horn and Jie Chen on bassoon. As they continue our association with Lewis University, they also strive to provide cultural enrichment opportunities for communities in the Chicagoland area.

Event Name: Spin and Upper Body Strength Event State: Confirmed Organization: Recreation & Fitness Center Event Locator: 2024-AASJAQ Free group exercise class!  10 minutes of Indoor Cycling followed by 10 minutes of  Upper Body Strength Training.  Drop in and out as you need.  No registration required.  All fitness levels welcome.  Come late, leave early, whatever your schedule allows!
