Event Name: Spring Mental Health Movie Series Event State: Confirmed Organization: Student Wellness Center Event Locator: 2025-AASSVV Actives Minds and SAMHSA Suicide Prevention and Education Grant are partnering to put on a Spring Mental Health Movie Series.  National Eating Disorder Awareness Week is February 24-March 2.  we will be screening the documentary Thin (2006) and offering a panel of both students and profesionals to discuss nutrition, diet culture, media influence of body image and eating disorder awareness.  Please bring your student ID to be scanned in at the beginning of the event.

Event Name: Monarch Winds Concert Event State: Confirmed Organization: Music Department Event Locator: 2024-AASPQZ Monarch Winds is an in-resident woodwind quintet at Lewis University, named in honor of the Illinois state butterfly and to highlight flight, an important aspect of the university's history. Since 2011, they have provided woodwind quintet programs at Lewis University in Romeoville, St. John's the Evangelist Episopal Church in Lockport and other social venues in Will and DuPage counties. Monarch Winds features Laurel Tempas on flute, Robert Gordon on oboe, Mary Payne on clarinet, Amanda Karwoske on french horn and Jie Chen on bassoon. As they continue our association with Lewis University, they also strive to provide cultural enrichment opportunities for communities in the Chicagoland area.
